Unsatisfactory Experience – Poor Service and Communication On April 4, 2025, I dropped off my vehicle at RICO Auto Service Center for warranty repairs. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. My vehicle sat idle for nearly three weeks before an official diagnosis was even made. I had left the wheel lock nut key clearly visible on the center console for the mechanic’s use, should the tires need to be removed. After a long wait, the replacement parts were finally ordered, but it took another three weeks for them to arrive. Then, repairs dragged on for yet another month. Throughout this time, I had to call weekly for updates, as I never received proactive communication from the assigned advisor. Only in the final three weeks did the service manager finally step in and assure me they would monitor progress. Despite being without a vehicle for almost three months, I was never informed of any rental coverage options from GM until I personally contacted GM corporate warranty support. When the vehicle was finally ready, I discovered the wheel lock nut key was missing — even though the empty case had been placed in the glove box. I notified the foreman, but they denied using or misplacing it, leaving me to purchase a replacement and pay out of pocket to remove the locking lug nuts. The overall experience was frustrating and unacceptable. There was no customer service to speak of, and I was not even going to bother addressing the additional dents and scratches found on my vehicle upon return. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this service center if you value communication, accountability, and basic customer care.

Service help looked and acted like they didn't really want to service my vehicle. Asked to clean the windows, only cleaned the windshield. Service found debris in the engine compartment area and didn't want to clean it up. Had to asked if they could remove the debris. Service received before this visit was exceptional in comparison. When vehicle was initially dropped off by my wife, the staff was very rude and asking how the vehicle got to the dealership with the transmission problem and that it might have to be taken to Farmington as they don't service Buicks. I told my wife to tell them its a transmission problem in general, not anything Buick specific. A couple days later I called and it seemed the vehicle had not even been thoroughly given attention and the technician started on the problem only once I called. When I went to pick up the vehicle we were just told to "go pay" by the service desk. I had to direct the technician to stop, look at me and I asked him what was the diagnosis on the problem. My questions were: (1) did you look at the ATF when it was drained to see if anything was abnormal? (2) Was the transmission inspected internally when the ATF was drained? (3) was there any mechanical deficiencies? We were just given answers of "yes, yes, yes". This is not the first time this type of unprofessional customer service has been encountered at this dealership. If I ever decide to purchase another vehicle in the future, I would most likely not purchase through tis dealership if their service department continues to treat its customers in this manner.

Inaccurate and Unprofessional – Poor Records and Communication This is a perfect example of the dysfunction at this dealership. I have not had any service performed or even visited this location since July 2025 — yet I just received a request to review a supposed visit dated August 7, 2025. This raises serious concerns about how customer records and service appointments are managed. If they can't track visits accurately, I can only imagine how they handle actual repairs and warranty work. Very unprofessional and reinforces my decision not to return.

There is oil leaking from my 2025 Acadia (this should not be happening with a new car). Rico changed my oil two times in a row and the last oil change was on Nov 5. I took it to the Rico Service department on the morning of Nov. 12, but they said they were not sure if they would get to it that day. And they don't do appointments. All of this is a major inconvenience -- the oil shop is the one who started the leak, because they are the only ones who have touched it, and then the service shop will not get to it until a later date. Now, I have to make arrangements to find another vehicle just so I can leave it there.
